So you want to learn how to fish, maybe this is because you realize that you have absolutely no clue about fishing. That’s why I am here to teach you how to fish. Here are 5 easy tips for you, if you are serious about learning how to fish.

  1. You should ask a family member or friend to take you along on their next fishing outing. They will be trilled to death to have a new fishing buddy. Lets face it fishing can be boring if you are not catching any fish. With a friend or family member with you atleast you will have someone to talk to even if you are not catching fish at all. Another plus side to this if they are experianced at fishing they will more then happy to teach you how to fish if it is your first time.
  2. Do a couple of searches online — there are hundreds of thousands of websites with instructions about fishing equipment, bait, tips, and many other secrets.   3. Head on over to the library and look for a few books on how to fish as well as be sure to have a look at a few fishing magazines.   4. Check out conservation or wildlife service in your area — they will often hold a fishing day to teach beginners the basics of fishing.
  5. When you go on vacation near a highly popular fishing lake or river (which is pretty much anywhere you can think of), check with the local fishing stores which there should be plenty of them to choose from — they sometimes know a few local professionals that are willing to teach you how to fish.

Some types of fish are more active in the moring or at night when they are feeding, while some types of fish will bite just about any time of the day.

Fishing licenses are required in just about every state, you can obtain your fishing license at any fishing shop, every sporting goods store, or Conservation and Wildlife Centers. The cost varies by location. Licenses for children are usually not required.

If you want to fish on private property, be sure to get permission from the owner. Otherwise it is trespassing.
